Wrexham Supporters Federation was formed on 19th November 2007 in an initiative by the Club’s Chief Executive at the time, Anthony Fairclough, to bring together all recognised supporters groups under one umbrella, but with each group maintaining its individuality with their own committees.
The Federation Supporters Groups all agree to abide by its constitution, with its three main aims being as follows:
- to reflect the primary importance of Wrexham AFC to everyone connected with it and to develop the Football Club’s fan base by encouraging greater, more positive support.
- to promote and encourage all Supporters Groups to join the Federation for the benefit of Wrexham AFC and its Supporters Groups.
- to participate in joint fundraising and sponsorship activities to generate finances to the benefit of the Supporters Groups and in particular Wrexham AFC.
In its first season the Federation raised £5,000 for the Club’s Centre of Excellence. This was achieved by putting on joint fundraising events for all groups to participate in as well as each group individually raising its own funds.
Since its formation the Federation, including most recently handing over £6,000 towards the new pitch covers. They have achieved this with such fundraising events as a junior 5-a-side tournament, World cup/European championship competitions, annual membership subscriptions from each group and annual supporters end of season 8-a-side tournaments.
Wrexham AFC Supporters Federation is an official organisation recognised by the Football Club Board of Wrexham AFC. The Supporters Federation have three places on the Club’s Advisory Board (CAB), plus a place for the Official Supporters Association (OSA) and the Disabled Supporters Association (DSA), who are both members of the Supporters Federation.
The Federation are open to fundraising ideas to raise funds for Wrexham AFC. We are one family, and aim to help each supporter’s group raise funds for each other on behalf of Wrexham AFC. If you have any suggestions or ideas for fundraising for the Supporters Groups then please contact a committee member.
If any Supporters Group member has anything to raise, or put forward in relation to anything to do with Wrexham AFC and its Supporters Groups at Federation meetings, then please raise it with your own independent Supporters Group committee. A representative of the club is present at most meetings to answer, or seek an answer, to each question. Your committee is there to represent YOU.
This website contains details of the current independent Supporters Groups of the Wrexham Supporters Federation with an email address to make contact. All Wrexham fans are encouraged to join any of these Supporters Groups.
Wrexham Supporters Groups are now established in many areas of the world, but the more the merrier! If you are looking to form a new group to be officially recognised by the club in your area, then you need to be fully constituted. That means you will need a constitution, and an elected Chairperson, Secretary, and Treasurer. You can find the Wrexham Supporters Federation constitution linked at the foot of this page.
The Federation groups have all at one time or another worked, helped and encouraged each other along. Contact any group for information on setting up a new group, and how to become a Federation member. They are all here to help, encourage and support you.
