The story began with Markus and Michael’s deep connection to British football culture. This shared passion brought AFC Wrexham to their attention. After attending their first game at the Racecourse Ground, they both felt that they should not remain simple fans, but thought about how they could take their enthusiasm to a wider level. Inspired by the idea of building a bridge between two different football cultures, the vision of the ‘Bavarian Red Dragons’ was born.

The name ‘Bavarian Red Dragons’ represents the fusion of British football spirit and Bavarian conviviality. Markus and Michael believe that football is more than just a game – it creates communities and connects people across national borders. The fan club is not only a place to watch matches, but also a platform to exchange ideas, make friends and share cultures.

Many of your friends were enthusiastic about this idea right from the start, so we were able to turn it into reality. Our fan club now has around 50 members, some of whom are of course also members of AFC Wrexham directly.
