Merched Y Cae Ras

History

Founded in August 2023, Merched y Cae Ras (MYCR) is a Wrexham AFC supporters’ group specifically for our female supporters.  Our purpose is to provide a solid and safe platform for a community of Wrexham AFC female supporters worldwide to join together in a fun, friendly and non-judgemental environment where everyone feels included. 

It all started when Nicola Hughes set up a What’s App chat group for ladies to have a safe space to talk, and then the idea of a supporter’s group solely for females was borne.  

MYCR aims to build and sustain a strong relationship between the club and its female supporters.  Whether it’s to find out more information about the team and players, meet new friends through our different social media channels, or meet up at games and show support for the team, we want to encourage more female supporters to get involved and break down any barriers they may have to enjoy and fully embrace the Wrexham AFC journey. 

MYCR aims to bring female supporters together from across the globe, with an emphasis on inclusivity, so the group currently holds its meetings online.
